Bones For Bertie is best described as a confluence of diverse musical influences. They started out as a two-piece acoustic act with singer-songwriter SiddharthBasrur (Goddess Gagged, The Venus Project, Dog Ate Disco) and producer-songwriter Ayan De (The Venus Project), playing venues like Blue Frog and Café Goa. As of 2011, Bones for Bertie’s line-up includes SurajManik (Rosemary) on bass guitar and ShantanuBasruron the drums. The band’s set consists almost entirely of originals written and composed by them, while they do occasionally cover artists whose music they feel the world needs to hear.
