Anant – Drums and Percussion
Anant has over 10 years of experience in music specifically in rhythm section. This includes seven years in drums and three years in Tabla.
He has played at various live concerts with different bands and artists with music style ranging from indian classical to soft rock, classic rock, hard rock, progressive and alternate rock.
A hardcore mad man on the drums when let loose, Anant can take even the most complicated of rhythms and seamlessly roll it into one of his gut-wrenching drum solos.
Currenlty Anant plays professionally as a drummer for bands Highway61, Vitamin M, Moon Beans, Crosswired and Harmonic Recession. He was actively involved in recording songs at Sound Ideaz Studio, Pune for these bands by playing drum parts for the same. He has more than a year of teaching experience.
Muang – Guitars
Muang is a certified Grade 8 guitarist from Trinity College London in Classical guitar (theory & practical) under Pune Music Society. He graduated B.Mus from Spicer Memorial College. He specializes in Hard Rock and Blues playing styles. He is also a composer. Muang has more than 15 years experience of playing guitar in classical, rock & blues. In 2006 he won best guitarist at Inter college rock band competition conducted by IIPM. He is a well known guitar teacher as well. He teaches Classical guitar and Plectrum guitar for Trinity music students in Pune.
He was part of the band Gamma Companion. It was the 1st bands to be featured on the Radio
Mirchi Pune's show - Mirchi Soundcheck. He is playing with his current band (Vitamin M). His favorite musicians are: Bob James (FourPlay), Chuck Berry, B.B King, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, RitchieBlackmore, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Johnson. Paul Gilbert, Malmsteen, Shawn Lane, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, John Petrucci, Steve Morse, Greg Howe, John Myer and etc….
He likes Blues, Hard Rock, Jazz and Classical Music.Favorite composers: J.S.Bach, Handel, Paganini, Beethoven, Mozart, Isaac Albeniz, FernandoSor, F. Carulli, M. Carcassi, F. Tarrega, Yani, Kenny G, Michael Jackson, Joe Satriani, and Steve Vai, etc…
Mangpu – Bass
Mangpu started playing guitar since he was 6 years old. He has been playing Bass guitar for 6 years. He loves playing Country music, Blues, Rock, Rock N Roll and Metal. Before he came to Pune he played with his local band (Teu Vit Vit). Since he came to Pune he has been playing with his college bands. Currently he is playing with Vitamin M.
His favorite musicians are: Billy Sheehan, John Myung, Stu Hamm, Michael Anthony, Nathan East, Gene Simmons (Kiss), and Hugh McDonald (Bon Jovi).
Favorite bands: The Eagles, Mr. Big, Dream Theater, Fire House, Skid Row.
Rishi – Vocals and Guitars
Rishi started playing professionally in 1999, and formed the first Hard Rock / Metal band in Nashik called Stubborn Brains. He has been composing ever since and is also a part of RUCKUS (Mumbai based Rock Band).
He loves to compose songs that are more on the lines of tickling your funny bone or bones and mixing Blues and Rock with Fun Lyrics and getting the crowd to sing along, one such composition is “The Tortilla Song”, (Official Video on Youtube).
Now with Vitamin M, he plans to do the same with originals to get you of your seat and also do covers from Bands like SRV, Tenacious D, CCR, Chickenfoot, Skin, Airbourne, and more.
