Retro Night - DJ Zam Live at Hard Rock Cafe Hyderabad on Friday, 28th January!

DJ Zam (Zameer Rawjee) is an exceptionally talented and one of the most experienced Dj/Remixer in the Indian Djing circuit. He has been DJing since the era of the famous and well known nightclub Cellar (The Oberoi - Mumbai) from the early 90's. He has also been a musical firestarter for most clubs in the Mumbai suburban areas.

He first began his professional Djing work with Esoteric Acoustics, Mumbai in 1990. After which he was sent to Hyderabad to spearhead as a resident for the first nightclub in town at the Country Club called 'Pyramids' in 91. He brought with him the flavour of bombay and was responsible for opening the eyes of the Hyderabad city to the clubbing culture for the first time ever.

Realizing his valuable potential, he was summoned back to bombay in 92 by DJ Whosane and DJ Asad to work with them on their project Audiophile alongwith their premier DJ Luke Kenny. Here he was responsible for Djing at some of the best clubs in the then Mumbai called Sheetal again, Wild Orchid, Go Bananas and Wig Wam.

While Djing here he also guided and spread his knowledge to the new comers of the scene that included Dj-Amyth for one in particular. Rocking the crowd to a frenzy with his immense knowledge of music was a regular feature.

He moved back to Hyderabad in 94 and continued to perform at countless Corporate launch parties and has been a resident Dj for clubs like Passport, Diva, Where Else and conceptualized a place dedicated for rock music lovers called 'Easy Rider' in 2002 and was a resident DJ there. His breakthrough overseas came through in Oct 2005 when he was asked to perform at the prestigious India Club (Dubai). He has been a regular at that club since then.

After the closure of Easy Rider in 2006 and performing for numerous private shows and club theme parties in the city, he moved into making a remixed series for the love which caught on as an underground brand called 'UnDesi'. Gaining encouragement and popularity from fans across the globe, He still continues to give his interpretation of how he hears bollywood music.

After 18 yrs of Djing, true to his capabilities even to the present day, he makes sure no one leaves the dance floor without having a good time, has been his attitude towards Djing.
