Formed in 2001 and several lineup changes later, Cyanide has come a long way from playing in school assemblies to performing on some of the biggest stages this country has to offer for rock music.
The environment that brought the band together has allowed them to groom a sound that mirrors the best of Modern Rock and at the same time combining elements of a wide spectrum of genres varying from Nu Metal to 80's Rock n' Roll. The band has become popularly known for its signature crunching guitar riffs and pop choruses giving them a solid, melodic and powerful sound with all the right ingredients that define today's modern rock music.
Recently, we signed with 44G Records and are releasing an EP titled “Not over yet” this summer.
Simple harmonic Motion
Simple harmonic Motion (SHM) is a Delhi based band; the sound of SHM morely consists of funk alternative patterns. The band was formed in september 2008 when Abhishek and Pinak got Sood on drums and after a long and hectic search their line up was stabilized when Rishi came in
to do guitars.
In a very short span of time SHM has musically evolved from playing covers to making original comp's and the band's hunger for making a set of good original compositions is increasing day by day. The band started taking shape as soon as its new original was composed , highly praised by peers and other musicians, the band thereafter started taking its music seriously.
Highly Influenced by bands like RHCP, Rage against the machine, Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam, Nirvana and Incubus the band has got its own unique sound with a presence of its influences. The band played its initial performance at NSIT (Avalanche 09’) where it earned a credible
recognition and then went on to win CITM college festival headbangers inc. where it competed against Rampaze, Stitch and Seize her in the finals.
