SOULMATE PERFORMING LIVE AT HARD ROCK HYDERABAD ON THURSDAY, 7TH JANUARY!!

Soulmate was formed about 7 years ago in Shillong by Rudy Wallang(Blues guitar player,songwriter,singer) and Blues Singer/guitar player Tipriti ‘Tips’ Kharbangar.The band was formed with the intention of fuelling their passion for the Blues as well as to promote this particular genre of music.Through the years, Soulmate has performed over 400 concerts all over the country and abroad.When on the road,they avail of the services of seasoned session musicians like Sam Shullai(Drums)Adhiraj Mustafi(Drums) and Ferdy Dkhar(Bass),Leon Wallang(Guitar).A recent addition to their line-up for a few gigs in Delhi,Mumbai and Pune was Guwahati based drummer,Ambar Das.

They perform regularly in New Delhi,at The HAZE Blues and Jazz Bar, as well as in other cities such as Kolkata,Bangalore,Hyderabad,Mumbai,Pune,Gurgaon,Goa,Darjeeling,Kalimpong, and all over the North-East. They have performed at the Wills Lifestyle Fashion India Week,in Delhi(2006), the Airtel Live concert in Hyderabad(2007) as well as for various corporate shows in Bangalore and Hyderabad.They took part in the 2007 Pubrock Festival organized by RSJ and are regulars at the RSJ LIVE NITES.They were also a part of an album,contributing one song,”I See A Light”,for an AIDS awareness campaign,organized and produced by the Thomson Foundation. Soulmate has also performed twice at the International Jazzmandu Festival in Kathmandu in the years 2004 and 2005.
