Ever since its conception in the summer of 2005, Junkyard Groove was nothing but your silly sense of humour trying to be creative and once it got rolling there was really nothing anybody wanted to do in terms of changing direction or slowing down the pace of things.

With an inspirational songwriter in Ameeth and equally brilliant musicians in Jerry, Sid and Craig the band came up with some "wicked" compositions with truckloads of promise.

New Breed, a young versatile band from Pune, plays all genres of Music right from Jazz to Classic rock to Pop rock and some progressive rock too. SHKABANG PERFORMING LIVE AT HARD ROCK MUMBAI ON TUESDAY, 1ST DECEMBER

Influences:

Mostly new age electronica artists and some rock/pop influences. All the musicians have a rock background- so it really is a mix!

Band Members:

Shiraz is the drummer of India’s biggest rock act- Pentagram.

Anushka Manchanda is known for her Bollywood music, popular Channel V VJ and part of the talent hunt that she won a few years ago.

Pozy and Johan both play for great bands- Tough On Tobacco, Zero (before they disbanded), Helga’s Fun Castle etc.

Abhijit Nalani was part of the supergroup Bombay Black and now Hipnotribe.

TERRA NAOMI PERFORMING LIVE AT HARD ROCK NEW DELHI ON THURSDAY, DEC 3RD!!

A creative pioneer in the digital age of music, Terra Naomi won the first YouTube Award for Best Music Video in 2006 for her song/video “Say It’s Possible,” inspired by Al Gore’s film, An Inconvenient Truth. A chance meeting with Mr. Gore led to a solo performance at Wembley Stadium in London as part of the Live Earth concert in July 2007. Terra released her first full length studio album (Under The Influence) on Island Universal Records in late 2007 and toured the UK with The Fray and Martha Wainwright.

Terra recently completed a solo tour of the US to promote her new EP, “You For Me,” released digitally in October 2009. The tour was 100% fan-funded, thanks to a “Tour Support Donation Drive” video posted on YouTube. With over 15 million views of her homemade videos on YouTube, nearly 35,000 subscribers, and an unparalleled interactive dialogue and deep connection with the people who listen to her music, Terra Naomi is once again at the forefront of the new direct artist-to-fan model and can’t wait to tour India and Italy following a successful month-long run in the US.

“I've always had an intense passion for Indian culture and people, and I am so looking forward to visiting India and bringing my music to people around the country,” said Terra Naomi.

DISCHORDIAN

Dischordian started in an attempt to move away from the wall of sound and aggression and testosterone that makes up most rock music. The project took shape gradually, and eventually expanded to a three-piece acoustic band with guitars, harmonica, trumpet, djembe and a variety of percussion instruments. The music incorporates all the sounds the band has loved and learned from since childhood – country, pop, rock ‘n’ roll, punk, metal, folk, and a multitude of styles that have no real labels

Imagine a huge avalanche sliding down a mountain and you are right in its path, only, the avalanche is coming down holding guitars, and screaming its guts out. Bhayanak Maut ('Terrible Death' in Hindi) hails from Mumbai, the metal capital of India. And alongside other local metal bands, Bhayanak Maut paved the way for the New Wave of Indian Metal. All this, while laying waste to some of India's biggest cities and creating a fan base that's unheard of in the Indian scene.

In its ten-year career, TAAQ has earned the enviable reputation of being a pioneering Indian Rock band that has consistently defied categorization. Encompassing styles as diverse as Carnatic to Jazz-funk, Thermal And A Quarter has three albums and hundreds of live performances under its collective belt.

PENTAGRAM PERFORMING LIVE AT HARD ROCK PUNE ON THURSDAY, 19TH NOV!!

Randolph, Shiraz, Papal and Vishal came together in 1994, with a strong need to play individual, original, unique music. This was as much a reaction to the stagnating Indian Rock scene, populated by bands playing mostly cover music, as it was a primal instinct. They did the rounds of college festivals, almost immediately becoming well known and popular, by winning three major rock competitions at the Kanpur, Delhi and Bombay IIT’s.

They signed a record deal and put out their first album (We Are Not Listening) in 1996. It was listed by Rhythm House (India's premier record store) as the fastest selling rock album. They released two videos ('The Ignorant 1’ and 'Yoo') which were frequently played by all the music channels.

SUPERSONICS PERFORM LIVE AT HARD ROCK NEW DELHI THURSDAY, 19TH!!

Ugly, dirty and ultra-talented, The Supersonics crashed the Calcutta music scene with a high voltage performance at a crowded little bar called Someplace Else. Formed in 2006, their defiant anthems have already earned them an anti-gravity cult status. Geared with a toothpaste fresh sound and a dangerous stage presence, it would be wrong to call The Supersonics a band. They are a milk-drinking, vitamin-popping call to arms. They are a shiny new revolution.

Dig out your sombreros, ponchos and shot glasses in celebration of a weeklong Mexican Fiesta being hosted by Hard Rock Café Delhi, at DLF Place, Saket. The rock brigade can now also enjoy ‘all that is ‘Latin’ along with the regular rock fiesta. The festival begins on the 15th of November and will be on till the 21st of November 2009.

As part of the Mexican Fiesta, Hard Rock Café will serve specially created Sauza cocktails and shooters throughout the week coupled with an interesting Mexican food spread. The festival promises to be an exciting mélange of Latin music and dance performances; Sauza flare act; lick bite, shoot routines; Tex Mex cuisine, slammer shots, and many other interesting games and contests with the special feature of a mechanical bull.

Galeej Gurus was formed in the year 2000. After over eight years of touring and performing, the Galeej Gurus are working towards the release of their debut album in 2009.

ORIGINAL COMPOSITIONS: We write songs based on day-to-day life situations. The main intent is for an average human being to be able to listen to these & be able to identify with the song. We try to step away from writing overly commercial-themed love songs but enjoy harping on an emotion that appeals at that moment in time. Finding a unique title for the song is also an important piece of songwriting. The band’s acclaimed originals include such popular numbers as Full Meals by the Wayside, High Above, Better When Blown, Make Some Noise, Physiological Breakdown and several others.
